Spina Bifida Teen Multispecialty Team

The Spina Bifida Teen Multispecialty Team serves individuals age 13 to 21 years who were born with neural tube defects. Emphasis within this team of specialists are the concerns and needs of adolescents and young adults such as transportation, vocational goals, sexuality and transitions towards personal independence. Patients are seen yearly by each of the services. This is a full-day clinic with lunch provided. Follow-up appointments in other multidisciplinary clinics or with individual providers are determined on an individual basis. Patients are referred to multispecialty teams after completing the Intake procedure.
