About
the Organization
The Children's
Clinics is a private not-for-profit corporation. Members of
the corporation's board of directors include representatives

(UMC)-the tertiary pediatric providers in Southern Arizona.
Also included on the board are faculty physicians from the
University of Arizona College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics
and private practicing doctors from the Tucson area. Additional
members include representatives from Square and Compass, a
local service organization that owns the Children's Clinics

Clinics patients and programs.
The Children's
Clinics is licensed by the State of Arizona as an outpatient
treatment center and accredited by the Joint Commission for
the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO). While
the facility is licensed as an outpatient facility, it has
the additional role of contracting and paying for a broad

services delivered to those patients who are covered under
the State of Arizona's Children's
Rehabilitative Services (CRS) program.
Clinic-based
outpatient pediatric services provided by Children's Clinics
include over 25 different pediatric medical, surgical &
dental subspecialty clinics and primary care services for
children with special health care needs. The clinic facility
also has an
outpatient laboratory and general radiographic x-ray capabilities
on-site. Other
outpatient clinical services include nursing and nutrition
services, rehabilitation
services (physical and occupational therapy, speech/language
pathology, and audiology) and psychosocial, child life, educational
support and advocacy services for patients
and their families.
