Family Support Services

Family Support Services

For our CRS families, we provide supportive services that address the challenges of having a child with a complex medical condition.

Family Support Services Include 1-3 sessions with a professional therapist where families can:

  • Talk about the impact of having a child with a complex medical diagnosis
  • Explore ways to cope with a new or existing diagnoses
  • Discuss upcoming medical procedure(s)
  • Address difficulties with transitions i.e. changing schools, moving, developmental milestone(s)
  • Address grief and loss issues
  • Develop coping skills for daily stressors
  • Identify additional supports and resources as needed

How to Sign up:

Ask to speak with a social worker at Children’s Clinics for a referral.

At the end of your family support services sessions, you and your therapist can decide if additional sessions would be helpful.
