Our Volunteers

Please not that our volunteer program is currently paused in order to reduce risk of COVID-19 in our community.

Volunteers are essential to our positive environment and the extra care we give our patients.  We have weekly volunteers as well as special event volunteers that support our Clinic community.  Weekly volunteers make a minimum commitment of 50 hours or 6 months. Volunteer shifts are 2 to 4 hours once a week and are flexible during Clinic hours, Mon.-Fri., 8:00am—5:00pm.

Weekly Volunteer Opportunities

Patient & Family Volunteers: Organize activities, assist with siblings so that parents can give undivided attention during their child’s appointment, read to children, monitor and assist with toys and games.

Administrative Volunteers:  Organize donated clothing, assist with mailings and provide office functions.

Pet Therapy Volunteers: Certified Therapy animals (and their owners) are always welcome volunteers.

Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at (520) 324-3055 or volunteer@childrensclinics.org if are interested in volunteering!

2020 Event Calendar

Spring Festival

Our Spring Festival is full of fun activities including crafts, games and face painting. Families can take pictures with the Easter Bunny and every child can participate in an egg hunt which we adapt to each child’s abilities.

Back-to-School Fair

The Back to School event and Resource Fair provides families with extra support as they prepare for the new school year! Every child receives a bag of school supplies, and parents can pick up valuable information about resources available to them in the community.

Halloween Party

Participating in traditional Halloween activities like trick-or-treating can be challenging for families that have a child with special needs. At the Children’s Clinics, we want all our patients and families to have a fun and safe Halloween. In addition to trick-or-treating, we offer games, crafts and even a haunted house.

Holiday Toy Days

At the Holiday Party, families can take pictures with Santa in a fun and familiar environment. Kids can sing their favorite holiday tunes, make an ornament for the tree and select a favorite toy from Santa’s Workshop.
