Professional Associations/Organizations

  • The American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association
    The ACPA is an international, professional organization made up of health care professionals from various specialties whose work involves treating and researching birth defects such as cleft clip and cleft palate, as well as other facial conditions. This Association sets forth the standard of care for Cleft and Craniofacial teams across the country. Inclusion as an endorsed team, such as the Cleft Care Team of the Children’s Clinic, means that the team is committed to comprehensive, quality care for patients affected by craniofacial conditions.
  • Cleft Palate Foundation
    The CPF, or Cleftline, is an excellent resource for patients, families and communities with a vested interest in Cleft Lip/Palate. They offer information and publications as well as support information for those affected by a cleft.
  • Cleft Advocate
    This website has a host of links for the purposes of educating, inspiring, serving and leading those interested in clefts. This site also hosts a list of hints and helps for dealing with insurance issues.
