Events and Activities

We understand that caring for a child with a complex medical illness is not only difficult and stressful, but it can also take away meaningful experiences of childhood. We strive to ensure families have every opportunity possible to experience the joys of childhood. Our quarterly events, Spring Festival, Back-to-School, Halloween and Holiday Toy Days are hosted specifically for the children and families we serve. These events would not be possible without the generous support of our staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners.

We have a variety of activities suited to meet the needs of our kids during each event at the Clinic. From an adaptive haunted house and trick-or-treating, to accessible egg huts, and pictures with Santa and the Easter Bunny, we make every effort to create safe and memorable experiences for our families.

Upcoming Events:

Spring Festival

Our Spring Festival is full of fun crafts and games. Families can take pictures with the Easter Bunny and every child can participate in an egg hunt which we adapt to each child’s abilities.

Back-to-School Fair

The Back to School event provides families with extra support as they prepare for the new school year! Every child receives a bag of school supplies, haircuts are available, and we celebrate the beginning of a new school year with fun and games.

Halloween Party

Participating in traditional Halloween activities like trick-or-treating can be challenging for families that have a child with special needs. At the Children’s Clinics, we want all our patients and families to have a fun and safe Halloween. In addition to trick-or-treating, we offer games, crafts and even a haunted house.

El Tour de Tucson

Join the Children’s Clinics Fun Ride Team in El Tour de Tucson! For the past three years, Children’s Clinics has been a beneficiary of El Tour de Tucson.  In 2019, our Fun Ride team raised over $15,000 with over 150   participants on race day! These funds are used to help our kids remain active in sports and play.

Holiday Toy Days

At the Holiday Party, families can take pictures with Santa in a fun and familiar environment. Kids can sing their favorite holiday tunes, make an ornament for the tree and select a favorite toy from Santa’s Workshop.

Teen Group

Teen Group offers a comfortable space for teens and young adults who have ongoing medical conditions to meet and talk with new people. We provide great food and even better company! Fun activities include video and board games, guest speakers, and discussions on topics that are important our teens.

Adaptive Recreation

Make a gift to help a child experience the freedom and joy that come with riding a bike! Donate to the Adaptive Recreation Fund.

Bike Builds

As part of our Adaptive Recreation Program, we hold Bike Builds that the Children’s Clinics community takes part in on a volunteer basis.  The hard work of our volunteers makes it possible to present our kids with their new adaptive tricycles!
