Events and Activities

We understand that caring for a child with a complex illness is not only difficult and stressful, but it also robs kids of their childhood. We do everything we can to make sure families have every opportunity possible to experience the joys of childhood. This includes quarterly events hosted specifically for our kids and their families. These events would not be possible without the support of our generous staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners.

We have a variety of activities suited to meet the needs of our kids during each event at the Clinic. The Local Resource Fair is available during our Back-to-School event as well as free haircuts! Look out for Santa Claus at our Holiday Toy Days event, and the Easter Bunny at our Spring Festival. Don’t forget Halloween with our wheelchair accessible haunted house! Click the pictures below for more information.

Upcoming Events:

Back-to-School Fair

The Back to School event and Resource Fair provides families with extra support as they prepare for the new school year! Every child receives a bag of school supplies, and parents can pick up valuable information about resources available to them in the community.

Teen Group

Teen Group offers a comfortable space for teens and young adults who have ongoing medical conditions to meet and talk with new people. We provide great food and even better company! Fun activities include video and board games, guest speakers, and discussions on topics that are important our teens.

Halloween Party

Participating in traditional Halloween activities like trick-or-treating can be challenging for families that have a child with special needs. At the Children’s Clinics, we want all our patients and families to have a fun and safe Halloween. In addition to trick-or-treating, we offer games, crafts and even a haunted house.

El Tour de Tucson

Join the Children’s Clinics Fun Ride Team in El Tour de Tucson! For the past two years, Children’s Clinics has been a beneficiary of El Tour de Tucson.  In 2017, our Fun Ride team raised $18,500 with 90 participants on race day! These funds are used to help our kids remain active in sports and play.

Spring Holiday Toy Drive

At the Holiday Party, families can take pictures with Santa in a fun and familiar environment. Kids can sing their favorite holiday tunes, make an ornament for the tree and select a favorite toy from Santa’s Workshop.

Spring Festival

Our Spring Festival is full of fun activities including crafts, games and face painting. Families can take pictures with the Easter Bunny and every child can participate in an egg hunt which we adapt to each child’s abilities.

Adaptive Recreation

Make a gift to help a child experience the freedom and joy that come with riding a bike! Donate to the Adaptive Recreation Fund.

Bike Builds

As part of our Adaptive Recreation Program, we hold Bike Builds that the Children’s Clinics community takes part in on a volunteer basis.  The hard work of our volunteers makes it possible to present our kids with their new adaptive tricycles!
